Dairy Farmers of South Africa (Pty) Ltd. (“DFSA”) became fully operational on 1 April 2017, initially as a full subsidiary of Clover SA (Pty) Ltd. (“Clover”) and from 1 July 2017 it is 74% owned by DFSA’s milk producers. Clover still holds a strategic shareholding of 26% in DFSA, as DFSA supplies all of Clover’s raw milk requirements. DFSA uses some of the Clover trademarks and Clover provides all essential services to DFSA such as Production, Distribution, Merchandising and most Support Services.
DFSA's product range consists out of Fresh milk, Ultra-high temperature (“UHT”) milk, Ultra Pasteurised (“UP”) - and Steri milk, which are sold directly to the trade by DFSA, mainly still under Clover’s iconic brand and some other brands.

To create long term sustainable dairy farming and volume growth opportunities for its milk producer shareholders. DFSA will strive to be South Africa’s milk buyer of choice, by creating maximum benefits for its milk producer members, within the constraints and realities of the market for dairy products.
Mission
DFSA will provide customers and consumers with quality Fresh milk, Ultra-high Temperature (“UHT”) milk, Ultra Pasteurised (“UP”) milk and Steri milk and will supply Clover with superior quality raw milk in Southern Africa, at competitive and sustainable milk prices. It will also leverage off its skills and reputation in raw milk logistics. DFSA will be managed in a reliable and responsible manner and in doing so it will promote a healthy environment and sustainable agriculture across Southern Africa.
